How it works
Set for Life draws take place daily at 21:30 AEST/AEDT. Players choose 7 numbers from a pool of 1 to 44, plus 2 Bonus numbers from the same range. The draw is operated by The Lott, which manages lotteries across several Australian states and territories under licence from state regulators.
Each draw selects the winning combination using certified random-number equipment. You can find full rules, entry methods and historical results on The Lott's Set for Life page. Tickets are sold through authorised retail outlets and The Lott's online platform for eligible Australian residents aged 18 and over.
Odds and divisions
The odds of matching all 7 main numbers plus both Bonus numbers—the Division 1 prize—are 1 in 38,608,020. To put that into perspective, you would need to flip a coin and land heads roughly 25 times in a row to face similar probability. Lower prize divisions offer better odds by requiring fewer matched numbers, though we do not publish those figures here because The Lott adjusts them periodically and we prefer not to risk quoting stale data.
If you win
All Set for Life prizes are paid by The Lott, the licensed operator, not by us. Small wins are typically credited automatically if you hold a registered online account; larger amounts may require identity verification and a claim form. We are an editorial site that writes about lottery games—we never handle prize payments, ticket sales or player funds. If you believe you hold a winning entry, contact The Lott directly or visit an authorised retail agent with your ticket.
Where to play
Set for Life tickets are sold by The Lott at thelott.com/set-for-life and through licensed retail agents across Victoria and other participating states. Drawsguide does not sell lottery tickets or take bets of any kind. We publish editorial commentary and factual summaries to help readers understand how these games work.
