Complaints

How to raise a complaint with us, with the operator, or with the regulator.

We want to hear from you when something we publish is inaccurate, misleading or out of date. We also recognise that many complaints relate to lottery operators rather than editorial content. This page sets out the right channel for each type of issue.

  1. Contact the editor — If you have a complaint about something we published, write to the corrections email below. We aim to respond within three business days and to publish a correction on record when we are wrong. Send your complaint to [email protected].
  2. Contact the operator — If your complaint is about a lottery product, prize payment, or ticket dispute, contact The Lott (Tattersall's Sweeps Pty Ltd) directly using the contact details on thelott.com. We cannot resolve claims because we do not sell tickets. Visit thelott.com/contact-us to find their customer service channels.
  3. Escalate to the regulator — If the operator has not resolved your complaint within a reasonable time, you can raise it with the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission. They publish a complaints form and will act on licensed-operator misconduct. Go to vgccc.vic.gov.au/complain to lodge a formal complaint.
